Lucky Daye Begins New Career Chapter With Warner Records
"Nowhere Fast” is the Grammy winner’s first single with the label.
Grammy Award winner Lucky Daye has begun a new partnership with Warner Records, Billboard can exclusively report. The singer-songwriter-producer’s first release under the Warner banner is “Nowhere Fast,” which is available today (June 26).
In comments sent to Billboard, Warner Records Group co-chairman and CEO Aaron Bay-Schuck tells Billboard, “Lucky Daye is a rare artist whose talent speaks for itself. As a singer, songwriter, musician and visionary creative, he has helped redefine contemporary R&B through his originality, craftsmanship and unwavering commitment to excellence. We’re honored to help bring his vision to an even bigger stage.”

Integrating a stripped-back sound with a cool vibe, Daye relays through “Nowhere Fast” that in an ever increasingly fast-paced world, it’s more important than ever for people to realize they sometimes need to take a step back and move slower. Listen here.

That’s what ‘Nowhere Fast’ is about — being present, trusting your pace and not losing sight of what actually matters.”

Daye reunited with longtime collaborator D’Mile (H.E.R., Silk Sonic) for “Nowhere Fast.” The single is Daye’s first release since winning a Grammy Award for best traditional R&B performance in 2025 for “That’s You,” featured on his 2024 third studio album Algorithm. Also during his tenure with RCA Records, Daye won his first Grammy in 2022 for best progressive R&B album on behalf of his 2021 EP Table for Two. Rounding out Daye’s album discography are Candydrip and Painted.
In a joint statement given to Billboard, Daye’s managers Marc Jordan and Mecia Hollar of State of the Art Management (SOTA) said, “Rare artists don’t follow trends; they create worlds of their own. Lucky has built a career rooted in authenticity, excellence and fearless creativity. We’re excited to partner with Warner Records and look forward to continuing to support his journey as his impact reaches even greater heights.”
Over the last year, Daye has done collaborations with Chris Brown, Teyana Taylor and Tank and the Bangas. He also performed at the Ms. Lauryn Hill-helmed tribute to D’Angelo at the 68th Grammy Awards.
